The Ancient Shops of Florence
A guided walking/shopping tour. This walking tour will sheds light on Florence’s historical stores.The mid-1800s was a period when Florence was the capital of Italy, and the city saw the birth of elegant cafés, markets, fashion boutiques, and beauty stores which are still in business today.

The program:
- 10:00 Meet your English-speaking guide in front of the Caffè Giubbe Rosse, an historical cafe located in Piazza Repubblica or at your hotel in Florence The guide offers you a coffee in this elegant antique setting, before starting the program
- 10:30 Walking towards the Vinaio (literally “wine vendor”) Migliorini, one of the oldest “vinai” offering a large selection of wines and at least two hot dishes a day
- 11:00 Visit the main food market place near San Lorenzo Church and the new wine and food center at Mercato Centrale
- 13:00 Tuscan lunch with wine at Restaurant La Cucina del Ghianda
- 14:30 Stroll to Sbigoli ceramic workshop and visit
- 16:15 You are back to your hotel
The price of the program includes: an expert English-speaking guide, guided visit to the shops and lunch with a Tuscan menu and wine.
